"You stubborn bastard! Even whilst being poisoned you still went against me. I guess the poison numbed your sense of pain. To think that you were about to even go behind my back and die." Gilgamesh said to an almost lifeless body he caught after Itachi pushed Shisui to his death. He made sure the body couldn't be seen from the cliffside when he caught it to be as sure as possible.

 

 

 

"You are about to die after all. Allow me." Gilgamesh said as he stretched his hands near Shisui's body and a warm golden light covered his body till all his injuries were covered and the poison in his body destroyed.

 

Releasing a weak cough, Shisui woke up with a surprised look.

 

"I was supposed to die. You, you are the devil! You don't even want me to cross over peacefully!" Shisui complained as he inspected his body.

 

"I healed you but that doesn't mean you are completely fine. You need to rest up and prepare for your mission. From today onwards, I own you." Gilgamesh said.

 

"And now, a gift, to an unruly subject." Gilgamesh said he poured a little of his mana into Shisui.

 

"I must warn you though, it is painful at first but once you get the hang of it you will reap the rewards. Now try and make that mana coexist with your chakra, do not absorb it just let them exist freely with your chakra." Gilgamesh instructed once he finished pouring mana into Shisui.

 

"Huh? AARRGH!" Shisui exclaimed but his cries were muffled by the rushing currents.

 

"Stay here, I'll come back soon."

After a few days, Gilgamesh returned and saw Shisui sweating in a seated position with his eyes closed.

 

"What is this energy? Is this what makes your strength so unexplainable?" Shisui asked after Gilgamesh announced his presence.

 

Shisui was staying inside a cave by the riverside so as not to be seen by anyone outside.

 

"If that was everything to my strength then you are gravely mistaking. Now let me show you how you can use it, figure out other applications yourself." Gilgamesh said as he covered his left eye socket that was empty and healed it, granting Shisui a new normal working eye.

 

Shisui's eyes widened at that and couldn't believe what he was experiencing.

 

"With my mana, you can duplicate your Mangeyko into the left eye I granted you. If you get good at it, your limit on using kotoamatsukami will be reduced greatly. Chances of you unlocking the Eternal Mangeyko Sharingan in both eyes is not impossible if you keep training your mana usage and control." Gilgamesh said as he walked away from the cave.

 

"Also, Itachi carried out your last will a bit too aggressively. I don't know why he didn't seek me out instead of banding with that… anyway, he ended the Uchiha clan with the exception of his little brother, Sasuke." Gilgamesh added with folded arms.

 

Shisui was in shock when he heard that, it was as if he would go through another awakening of his Mangeyko sharingan but he couldn't believe it. He knew the burden on Itachi would be heavier than he imagined and hated not being there. Maybe he could have gone with Gilgamesh's plan and gotten healed just in time to help Itachi but what was done was done.

 

"You are dead to everyone, better stay that way. Get a proper facial disguise and start with the mission, you can mourn on your way."

 

"Go now, that mission I gave you is very critical, if you haven't finished it by the time I come, I will be disappointed for the last time," Gilgamesh concluded as his figure vanished.

 

"This kid is crazy. If I hadn't seen what he was capable of before now, all he said about the sharingan and the mission he gave me would sound ridiculous to me, but somehow I feel like even I can do it." Shisui said as a laugh escaped his lips and opened the bag Gilgamesh left before leaving.

 

After checking his contents, Shisui removed his Konoha headband and stored it away. He put on a dark cloak with a hoodie from the bag and set out at night to leave the village. He wanted to check on the clan residence but left that thought and looked at the village one last time from a vantage point and left. He knew the village had changed after the recent incident and hoped for the best for Sasuke.

 

"This used to be my home, it still is but I serve another master, a wicked and demanding one…" Shisui said with a deep sigh as he looked into the sky.

 

"… And now I have the craziest mission to do." Shisui said as he ran stealthily. He couldn't use his body flicker technique since he still had to get used to the mana flowing in his body.

"Gilgamesh! Where have you been? Stupid question but valid anyway, given the fact no one can trace you." The Third bumped his fist on his table.

 

"Haha, you'll have to forgive me for that." Gilgamesh said while scratching his head.

 

"You would have been put under investigation about the Uchiha massacre because you've been missing for some time but we already know who did it…" The Third said calmly.

 

"Congrats! You are now the strongest chunin in the village." The Third looked at Gilgamesh for any hint of excitement or shock but was only met with a blank expression.

 

"Shouldn't you be happy, Lord Gilgamesh?" Shikaku asked with a sly smile on his face.

 

"It pains me that you once saw Itachi as stronger. Anyway, what do you need me for?" Gilgamesh asked.

 

"Normally we would ask more experienced ninjas for this job, but seeing as you are battle-hungry all the time and your plethora of abilities that have been confirmed by trusted jounin, we taught one of the best ways to help you grow would be having the patience to manage teams and grow the next generation of talents in Konoha." Shikaku explained standing beside the seated Third Hokage.
