Time was Lu Ming’s greatest ally.

Two months of seclusion had yielded results beyond his expectations. In that time, his attributes had surged by nearly 300,000 points. He had mastered five Divine Power Skills protective techniques, honed three long-range Origin Power Skills, and sharpened three Divine Power Skills fist techniques.

Yet, for all his progress, there was a sense of incompletion—no breakthrough in the elusive Primordial Pattern, and the mysterious Golden Patterns remained out of reach. His latest gains, while significant, had only strengthened his existing Silver Pattern, absorbing every new special effect he accumulated. The creation of new patterns continued to elude him, leaving Lu Ming with more questions than answers.

"Something’s off," he mused, pondering Esek’s cryptic advice from months ago. Still, with no clear path forward, Lu Ming pressed on. His cultivation system was unique—far beyond the traditional methods of the Ancient Realm—and it was this uniqueness that gave him confidence.

Stepping outside for a break, Lu Ming was greeted by the crisp mountain air of the Hundred Thousand Mountains. Roxin had prepared a meal for him, simple but nourishing: energy-rich fruits, exotic beast meat, and wild vegetables. Seclusion in the mountains might have been primitive, but it was far from uncomfortable.

As Lu Ming sat down to eat, he glanced at Roxin, who was seated across from him. "Where are the others?"

Roxin smiled softly. "My brother is still in seclusion. Brother Chao and Uncle Lu went out hunting."

Lu Ming nodded. "Thank you for everything. You’ve been working hard these past two months."

Roxin blushed faintly and rested her chin in her hands, her gaze lingering on him. The moment was peaceful, almost idyllic, under the warm glow of the afternoon sun. But the tranquility shattered with a sharp knock at the door.

Lu Ming set down his bowl, his brow furrowing. He hadn’t sensed anyone approaching—an oversight that immediately put him on guard.

Roxin, ever straightforward, moved to answer the door. Lu Ming stood, his senses honing in on the figure outside. Something felt wrong. The presence was eerily... absent, almost as though the visitor wasn't truly alive but more akin to a moving shadow.

Roxin opened the door, revealing a cloaked figure. The figure stepped inside without hesitation, shrouded in black, their face hidden beneath a hood. Roxin blinked, momentarily confused. She had expected one of their companions, but this stranger unsettled her.

"Who are you?" Roxin asked, her voice cautious.

Lu Ming stepped forward, his gaze fixed on the intruder. There was something deeply unnatural about this person. No aura, no detectable life force.

The figure ignored Roxin, their gaze locking immediately onto Lu Ming. After a tense silence, the stranger finally spoke, their voice commanding and cold. "You’re Lu Ming, the one connected to Esek?"

Lu Ming’s eyes narrowed, his instincts flaring. But after a brief pause, he nodded. "Yes, that’s me."

The woman in the black cloak stared at him for a moment longer before speaking again, her tone sharp. "Show me your Silver Patterns."

Her words were a demand, not a request. And despite the tension that filled the air, Lu Ming complied, tearing open his shirt to reveal the intricate Silver Pattern etched across his chest.

The woman’s eyes gleamed with an otherworldly light as she examined him. The pressure of her gaze was immense, and though she displayed no overt energy, Lu Ming felt as though she was probing deep into his very essence. Her power was unlike anything he had ever encountered. “Was she a quasi-Divine realm expert? Or perhaps… even a true God?”

After a long, silent moment, the woman reached out and placed a single finger on his chest. Her touch was light, but the Silver Pattern reacted to it, resonating with a power deep within Lu Ming.

Then, as suddenly as she had touched him, the woman withdrew, her expression unreadable.

"It’s as Esek said," she muttered to herself. "There is something unique about you."

Without further explanation, the woman sat down at the dining table, as though she had every right to be there. Her movements were graceful, but the authority she exuded was palpable.

"My name is Moon Fiend Yue," she said, her voice cool. "I am an official member of a mysterious organization. And for your information, every official member is in the Divine Realm."

She paused, watching Lu Ming closely as if expecting a reaction. But when he remained calm, her eyes narrowed slightly, disappointed at his lack of surprise.

"So," Lu Ming asked, his tone steady, "why have you come here?"

Moon Fiend Yue pursed her lips, clearly irritated by his calmness. Still, she answered, her voice low. "I came because the Corpse God told me of a man with extraordinary potential—someone who might be worthy of joining our organization."

She leaned forward, her eyes narrowing. "Esek wasn’t lying. Your Silver Pattern is unlike any other. It has the potential to grow—an extremely rare trait. Because of this, you’ve met the requirements to become a reserve member of our organization."

Her gaze hardened. "In short, you’re coming with me."
