"Now tell me everything since you've left Evelyn" She looked away from me and toward my elder sister.
"There's nothing really to tell" Evelyn shrugged trying to brush it off but after a few seconds she caved under our mother's gaze.
I listened as Evelyn began to recount what had happened after she left the village. She spoke about joining up with mercenaries for a time before eventually being knighted, and how she met the companions I had encountered in South Hollow all the way until she had joined up with me and became a member of the party.
"Mercenaries?" My mother raised an eyebrow while shaking her head making Evelyn let out a fake cough.
'It's not surprising' Mercenaries had a bad reputation around the empire and even I've had some less then pleasing run ins with some.
'I'm sure she fit right in' I knew my sister's personality better than anyone so I was sure she had a blast with such unruly people.
