Refusing My God’s Advances

This Hardly even seemed like the same person that I had picked to start with. This was supposed to be Sword Knight Alexia, but It wasn't like I was complaining. I just wasn't expecting to turn into a monk from a knight, but I summoned her anyway.

Shelli gasped as the 8-inch figure appeared before, but it looked like it was made out of plastic, even if it was really detailed. Then, before I could complain, it exploded in a puff of smoke.

When the smoke cleared, a life-sized version of the figurine appeared, but now looking more human, and not so plastic. Short hair, legless bodysuit, sparkling eyes, even bunny ears, and it was all emerald green. She had a cute look to her, and she wore strips of black cloth that ran down the outside of her legs.

"Lila at your service!" My golem said, snapping to attention so hard that it made her ample-sized breasts jiggle around.

I ignored the mesmerizing display and nodded to Lila. "Good," I said and then pointed to the cave. "Can you go fight that monster?"

Lila nodded and then vanished, then reappeared, and I got a notification.

"Holy shit! I couldn't even see you move!" I exclaimed, and Shelli giggled beside me.

"Lila is quite impressive. I think she is currently between level 120 to 150 with the speed she can move. It is hard to tell about her strength since she was able to kill the monster in a single blow," Shelli explained, and I sighed, turning back to Lila with a smile.

"You did great!" I laughed, and Lila tip-toed over to me, and then bowed her head, and waited.

"I think she wants you to pat her head?" Shelli offered in a questioning tone, so I did so.

Lila's emerald green bunny ears twitched as I patted her head, and she let out a contented sigh. It was an odd experience, patting the head of a golem, but Lila seemed to appreciate it.

"Alright, let's see how well Lila does in the next area," I said, and we continued deeper into the Crystal Cavern.

As we progressed, Lila effortlessly dispatched the monsters in our path, showcasing her enhanced agility and combat skills. Shelli and I watched in amazement as Lila leaped, dodged, and struck with precision. It was like having a skilled martial artist on our team.

Or, I guess calling us a team was a stretch. Lila had been doing all the fighting, but she had yet to have any trouble. There hadn't been a monster that could handle one punch from her so far, and according to Shelli, Lila hadn't used any skills yet.

Eventually, we reached the fourth cave, and the Ice Nymphs were waiting for us. So far I had just been getting materials and crystals from the monsters Lila killed, but this time was different.

Lila took no time in dispatching them, and I got the normal notifications, but there was an extra one this time.

"Lila, or Shelli, do either of you know what it means by a willing soul? Or what an Ego Soul is?" I asked as I closed the notification, and opened my inventory.

Shelli and Lila exchanged glances, and Shelli was the first to speak. "Willing souls are souls that willingly offer themselves to be bound to a golem or items. It's a rare occurrence because most souls resist being bound in such a way. As for Ego Souls, those are souls with a strong sense of self-awareness and consciousness. They retain their identity and memories even after being bound."

Lila nodded in agreement. "Yes, the Glacial Nymphs in this cave seem to have willingly offered their souls to be bound to you. It's quite rare, and you should consider it an honor. Ego Souls have their own consciousness and can augment the golem they're bound to. It enhances the golem's abilities and provides a unique connection between the golem and the soul."

"That's fascinating," I mused, pondering the implications of having willing and ego souls bound to my golems. "But isn't Ashagan an Ego soul then?"

In reply, Ashagan's cat form emerged from my body. "If you would bother to check, you would be able to tell that I am a Legendary Class Ego Demon Necromancer. Unlike these twin souls, I was once a Demon and a Master Necromancer. They are just monsters that have developed egos."

"Twin souls?" I asked, and Ashagan sighed.

"Normal souls are uncommon in monsters, so even with your stupid skill, you are still not going to find a lot of them from monsters. I am surprised that you got on from the rabbit, or even a pair from these Rare Class monsters. Anyways, Twin souls are paired souls that function better when used in tandem. They also gain unique skills," Ashagan explained and then returned to my body.

"Well, I guess that was today's lesson in souls," I grinned and turned my attention back to my other two golems in my inventory. If they worked better as a team, then I had two bodies that would be perfect for them!

The first one I selected was Beast Summoner Cynthia, and I added the (Unique Rare) Ego Glacial Nymph Soul. Once I clicked yes, the stats and new name for my golem came up.
