Refusing My God’s Advances

Chapter 121: Epic Battle

The moment that I stepped into the cave, I felt a weight press down on my body as the purple creature turned and rose up to its full height. It was over fifteen feet tall, and the face was like that of a gorilla, but its eyes projected a purple and black light that was almost bright to look at.

I had expected the creature to rush at us, but it just looked at us. No, it was looking down on us. This creature assumed that the battle was already over, and it needn't do anything but wait for us to make our move.

This was different than when I fought the minotaurs. This feeling was like I didn't matter. I was like what a bug must feel when faced with a dog, or a mouse to a cat.

"Master," Lila's voice said, cutting through my vagrant thoughts. "Don't let this crushing feeling into your soul. It is stronger than one of us, but together we stand a chance."

I took a deep breath, nodding at Lila's words. "You're right. We can't let it intimidate us. Let's show this Abyssant Voidling what we're made of."

I activated my Time Dilatation Stance, and then burst forward as fast as I could, zeroing in my focus. Lila was right beside me and put her palms together.

"Jump! Springboard!" Lila shouted, and I didn't hesitate, but I put away my drill.

I jumped forward into the air but then coiled my body as I felt Lila's hands contact my feet. Then, all my insides were forced down to my asshole as Lila launched me like a rocket forward. Even with my stance and all my focus, I barely had time to get my fist forward before crashing into the Abyssant Voidling's chest. The impact sent shockwaves through my body, but the creature didn't seem fazed. I, if anything, felt like I had slowed down at the last second, losing a great deal of my momentum.

Instead of me doing any meaningful damage, I just pissed it off. It retaliated with a swing of its massive arm, sending me flying across the cave.

I managed to regain control mid-air and landed on my feet, skidding backward to absorb the impact. Lila gracefully landed beside me, her eyes narrowing at the towering opponent.

"Nice try, master. But we need to coordinate better. It's not going to be easy," Lila commented, readying herself for the next assault.

The Abyssant Voidling, annoyed by our attempt, unleashed a wave of gravity magic, causing the air around us to become heavy and sluggish. I felt my movements slowing down, but I activated my Time Dilatation Stance again to counteract the effect.

"Distract it," I said and pulled my Drill of the Abyss back out. I focused on it, and an options menu appeared.

[Abyssal Attachments]

1. Drill Bit of Oblivion:

2. Drill Bit of Carnage:
Description: The Drill Bit of Carnage is designed for combat, featuring razor-sharp edges and a serrated structure. This bit increases the drill's effectiveness against living targets, dealing additional damage upon penetration. It's ideal for battles where precision strikes are crucial.

3. Drill Bit of Bore:

While it may not possess the destructive force of other bits, its versatility can be invaluable in various situations.

4. Drill Bit of Regeneration:

I picked the Drill Bit of Carnage without hesitation, and then rushed at the back of the Abyssant Voidling Lila was engaging. I waited till the last moment to activate my drill, but I felt myself slow down again as I slammed it into the Abyssant Voidling's back.

The creature screamed, but it didn't turn around to face me. Instead, the Purple hair on its back became hard and sharp, shooting out at me. I was forced to jump back, but I had finally done some damage.

It annoyed me that I could only do so with this tool that Garland had given me, but now wasn't the time to be splitting hairs. Lila rejoined me, but the Abyssant Voidling looked pissed now. Yet, it still didn't charge us.

"Have you noticed if that thing has moved from the center of the cave?" I asked, and Lila frowned at me.

"No, it had stayed in the center the entire time," Lila said, seeming confused.

I nodded and then looked at the beast glaring at me. "I have a sneaking suspicion that its powers have something to do with that. It could be possible that this thing needs to stay in the center of the cave, or its powers will be weaker."

"I still am not following," Lila said and I nodded.

If space was the divine realm, then the concept of gravity probably wasn't needed unless you used that kind of magic.

"Gravity is a pulling force. The larger the object, the greater the pull. That bastard must be pretty heavy, but I think if we can get him out of the middle, we might be able to disrupt his ability since the wall should have more mass than him. Then we can finish him," I explained, and Lila still didn't seem to get it.

"That means we need to lure him away from the center of the cave. But how do we do that?" Lila asked, her brow furrowed.

I grinned, my mind racing with ideas. "I've got just the plan. Lila, create a distraction. Keep the Abyssant Voidling's attention on you. Meanwhile, I'll work on getting him away from the center."

Lila nodded, her eyes gleaming with determination. "Leave it to me, Master."
