Refusing My God’s Advances

Chapter 77: Special Bonus

After leaving the girls and Hama, I appeared at Greg's Printing Supplies. I knew that I couldn't screw around, but I wanted to see if there were any Legendary class materials for sale. I found the conversion option and converted the rest of my gold into digital currency, but I wasn't sure if it would be enough.

"You are back fast!" Greg laughed as I walked in, and I nodded.

"Yeah, I don't want to spend a lot of time here, but I thought I would pay my bill in person while I was here. I also wanted to know if you have any Legendary class materials," I explained, and Greg nodded.

"I do, but the price changes dramatically. There is also a problem with Filaments and Coatings after Legendary. The items made with either become one less rank, but they will have pseudo Legendary class active and passive skills, but the stats will be that of an Epic Class item." Greg explained, and I sighed.

That was not what I wanted to hear, but it wasn't all a loss. I still had my material lottery, and filaments would still be useful. The coating probably should only be used in tandem with filaments, considering that they would reduce an item's class rank.

"What is the average price for a Legendary Filament and Coating? And do you have any Divine Class items?" I asked, but Greg shook his head.

"First, All legendary items are over 1,000,000 credits. Considering how they can replace most items for you, they are out of your range currently. As for Divine class Materials, there are a few things that you should know first," Greg explained and then asked, "Can you spare a couple more minutes?"

I nodded. These were all things I needed to know, and if Greg was willing to spend the time to teach me, I should be all ears.

"Good. All Divine Class Items in the IHSR are only for the trade of items or services. Next, you do not have a high enough level here to access them. That requires at least a level 7 or Prime membership. The last thing is that I know about your Material Lottery. Even if you acquire Divine Class Material, your current printer will not accept them. Nor will it accept Legendary materials yet until Level 200. There are others with powers like yours, so this is why I know what the restrictions are, and hopefully it will save you some MP."

I let out a long breath and smiled. I was so happy that Mary had wanted to come here. I would have been so mad if I had wasted my Material Points on Legendary Materials and not been able to use them!

Then, an idea hit me.

"What if I take the materials, not filaments, or coating to a blacksmith that can work with Legendary Materials?" I asked, but Greg shook his head.

"Anything you get from IHSR or your system cannot be used by anyone but yourself. If you try to give materials to other people, they will lose all class ratings. Your system is special, but you can see, or give away anything that you make," Greg explained, and I shook my head with a smile.

"Thank you, Greg. You have been a really big help," I said, and we squared up my bill. "I have to head over to Anima's shop, so I will talk to you later."

As I left Greg's Printing Supplies, I summoned the map and selected Anima's Pleasure-dise as my next destination. The thought of visiting Anima's shop brought a mix of curiosity and a slight sense of unease. Anima's shop offered unique golems and other things, but last time Ashagan had been breathing down my neck.

As I arrived at the entrance of Waifuland, I took a moment to steel myself. Anima's Pleasure-dise was a place with unconventional and, perhaps, intimate items. Taking a deep breath, I pushed open the door and entered the shop.

"Leon!"

I was grabbed by the Scarlet Siren golem the moment, and her big breasts squished up to cover most of her face, even touching my chin. I hugged her back, unsure what to do at this point.

"Anima?" I asked, but then I saw Anima in the beautiful golem that she had been in before.

"Something strange happened after you were gone," Anima said as she languidly walked over to Scarlet and me. "I don't know how, but the core within her activated, and she came to life on her own. That happened just after you left, but I decided to wait and run some tests on her. This is something that has only happened a few times."

I raised an eyebrow, a mix of surprise and curiosity on my face. "Activated on her own? That's unexpected. What kind of tests did you run? Is she functioning properly?"

Anima nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Yes, she seems to be functioning perfectly. I ran diagnostics and checked her magical core, and everything appeared to be in order. It's just strange. Golems aren't supposed to activate on their own, especially not ones with such advanced designs."

Scarlet released me from the tight hug, and I took a step back, trying to regain a bit of personal space. "That's fascinating, Anima. Is this a unique occurrence, or have there been other instances of golems activating spontaneously?"

Anima sighed, her eyes narrowing in thought. "It's extremely rare, Leon. I've only heard of a few cases throughout the centuries. Golems are usually crafted and enchanted intentionally, with precise instructions on their activation, or a soul is bound to them. This kind of spontaneous activation is... unprecedented."

Scarlet smiled, her eyes glowing with a mischievous light. "Maybe I just couldn't resist Leon's charm and had to come to life to be close to him."

Anima chuckled, her metallic form creating a melodic sound. "If only golems could feel such things. Anyway, Leon, I'm not sure if this is a one-time occurrence or if it might happen again. But Scarlet is functional, and she's yours now. Consider it a special bonus."
