Rise of the Zerg in the World of Gods

Chapter 61: The Blitzkrieg Begins

"It's hunting time!" Xu Luo coldly smiled as he looked at the surrounding coordinates he had marked.

He had been preparing for this day for a long time.

Besides letting the Queens lay eggs naturally, he had also used many breeding cards to refresh the egg-laying time.

Now, three days later in the real world, Xu Luo had amassed 500,000 Earth Dragon Zerg.

This massive army was solely for this operation.

He had specifically moved his Divine Realm to the border to facilitate his plan.

Although he hadn't made a move earlier, he had thoroughly scouted his neighbors' situations.

He couldn't detect specific information like who they were, their strength, or how long their Divine Realms had been established.

But their locations and races were already clear to him.

There were twelve Divine Realms in the same coordinate point, excluding one human's, leaving eleven.

One coordinate point away, there were seventeen targets.

Two coordinate points away, there were forty-four potential targets!

However, the main targets were the nearest twenty-eight. The others would be considered if there was excess capacity.

Why go to such lengths to move to the border?

To reduce the cost of transfer channels.

Within the same coordinate, transferring units had no extra cost, only requiring payment for channel construction.

One coordinate point away incurred a one-fold transfer fee. The farther the distance, the higher the cost. Beyond two Divine Realm coordinate points, invasion became highly unprofitable.

Invasion was inherently high-risk. Unless you knew who you were invading, you wouldn't understand the target's situation. Investing a large amount of resources only to lose everything would be futile.

Xu Luo wasn't arrogant enough to wage war against twenty-eight alien races simultaneously. That wouldn't be confidence, but suicide.

The first wave of attacks, of course, was to eliminate the neighboring realms.

Invading eleven targets simultaneously was somewhat crazy, but with his current military strength, it was achievable.

500,000 Earth Dragon Zerg entered the alien Divine Realms through transfer channels. Some realms had no outer defenses and were easily breached, while others had protection, requiring forceful invasion.

This time, Xu Luo didn't send his avatar in. Partly to conserve faith power, and partly because this was a war of annihilation.

"Hmm?"

Among the eleven Divine Realms, one suddenly collapsed!

The speed surprised even Xu Luo.

Until he checked the believer's perspective through the faith power link, he realized that one unfortunate soul had their Divine Realm core directly located. Despite having powerful units, they couldn't mobilize in time and the core was breached by the ravenous Earth Dragon Zerg, causing the Divine Realm to collapse.

Ignoring this unfortunate one, Xu Luo immediately recalled his units and sent them to support other battlefields.

He didn't even have time to clear the spoils, racing against time to create maximum results before others could react, then flee.

With only ten targets left, things weren't as fortunate, requiring real battles.

Among the ten targets, some were strong, some weak.

The strong ones had numerous Silver-tier units and vast Divine Realms, while the weak ones only had Bronze-tier units and small areas.

The Earth Dragon Zerg's task wasn't to kill the opponent's units, but to destroy their Divine Realms as quickly as possible, so their purpose was very clear.

After transferring, they headed straight for the opponent's core. When met with resistance, some stayed to fight while others continued advancing.

The Divine Realm core had an intangible fluctuation that couldn't be hidden, so invaders could clearly sense its location.

Although the core couldn't be hidden, it could be heavily protected.

Whether through heavy guarding or array formations, there were choices for protection.

Novice Divine Realms didn't have such powerful defenses; many hadn't even realized the need to protect their cores.

Combat was secondary; often, time was wasted on travel.

Xu Luo, having prepared meticulously for a long time, didn't hesitate to use various items. Whether for forced marches or instant teleportation cards to move units from one place to another, everything was used to save travel time.

Ten battlefields progressed simultaneously. With one battlefield completed early, the support of additional forces increased efficiency.

The ten battlefields didn't have an even distribution of 50,000 units each. Initially, the numbers were similar, but after understanding the internal situations, units were withdrawn from weaker realms to support stronger ones.

Xu Luo didn't intervene personally, only using various support items.

500,000 Silver Tier 9 Earth Dragon Zerg were terrifying. Even divided into ten teams of several tens of thousands each, they still charged recklessly without any reservations.

Unless facing equal or higher-tier units, the Silver Tier 9 elite Earth Dragon Zerg stood at the pinnacle of the Silver tier. Many units could compare to them, but without Lords appearing, none surpassed their level.

Everything happened incredibly fast, so fast that many weren't in their Divine Realms. Even with immediate alarms, some couldn't arrive quickly enough.

Even if the Divine Realm masters returned, they felt helpless facing such a huge disparity.

Unless following an invader's path, whether human or alien, few would raise large numbers of units. Most followed an elite path, continuously cultivating and improving their faith levels.

This was the development choice of all civilizations in the universe, the most practical approach.

However, this method was very ineffective when facing invaders.

Unless they were ancient Gods who had developed over a long time and accumulated numerous powerful believers - not many in number, but with many Lord and Monarch tier units that could frighten opponents just by appearing.

But that was after becoming Gods. This was the novice area, with a maximum of ten years, naturally lacking such long-term accumulation.

So when facing an unusual invader like Xu Luo, these alien races responded in confusion while hurriedly contacting nearby kin for help.

But communication took time, especially for those outside God's Domain, taking even longer.

While they called for help, Xu Luo's invasion didn't stop.

Even if others agreed to act, by the time they located Xu Luo's specific coordinates and constructed transfer channels, Xu Luo would have long destroyed the opponent's Divine Realm.

The reputation of blitzkrieg wasn't a joke. He chose this timing for a reason.

And now, it seemed the effect was quite good!
