Rise of the Zerg in the World of Gods

Chapter 99: Divine Realm Transformation

In the endless cosmos, countless great beings' attention was drawn to the current events.

Although to them, those involved were mere infants who could be killed with a breath, it was undeniable that these were future Gods.

Due to mutual constraints, they couldn't intervene directly, so they could only watch from afar.

Gods, of course, weren't so obedient; it was impossible for them to simply follow rules quietly.

But mutual checks and balances could lead to trouble, and there was one entity whose orders they had to obey.

The Tianyuan race indeed no longer existed, having left the current universe for a higher dimension.

No one knew what kind of existence they were; at least no civilization in the current universe could follow in the Tianyuan race's footsteps.

Even the entire God's Domain was originally just a training ground for the younger generation of the Tianyuan race.

It wasn't until after the Tianyuan race left that other civilizations discovered it and learned that upon reaching levels above Main God, one could virtually interfere with reality.

After that, God's Domain truly became popular. Before that, it was just a game for leisure.

But even Main Gods weren't invincible. In God's Domain, there was an entity that could restrict them.

The Hall of Gods!

The embodiment of God's Domain's will, it was both a protection and a constraint for Gods.

For example, Main Gods absolutely could not interfere with the novice Divine Realm - this was an iron law!

Other Gods might be able to interfere a little or act secretly, but Main Gods absolutely could not intervene. Once they violated the Hall of Gods' iron laws, their only fate would be to have their divine laws stripped, their Divine Authority removed, and to be reduced to ordinary mortals.

This was the reason these beings behaved.

No God could defy the will of the Hall of Gods.

Oaths sworn to the Hall of Gods and contracts signed could be violated or confused, but things explicitly stipulated by the Hall of Gods were absolute - what couldn't be done, couldn't be done, and boundaries could not be crossed.

So now, at most, only True Gods were taking action, while God Kings and Main Gods didn't move at all.

In the human stronghold, several beings were also paying attention to all of this.

"Brother Ying, your great-granddaughter is extraordinary. Once she completes this ascension, she'll be at least a High God. I'm afraid in a few more years, she might become a True God!" a human God King with the air of an immortal congratulated with a smile.

"With her accumulation, becoming a High God isn't difficult, but True God... I'm afraid that's not possible in the short term!" Ying Yingluo's great-grandfather shook his head.

After a Demi-God ignites their divine flame, they become a God, progressing from Pseudo-God with weak divine power, to Low God with lesser divine power, to Intermediate God with moderate divine power, to High God with strong divine power, each level with corresponding ranks and requirements.

The transition from God to True God was a threshold.

It not only had requirements for the God themselves but also for their believers.

Besides needing a stable Divine Kingdom, they also needed to possess Divine Authority, comprehend laws, and have believers reach a certain number and level of strength.

Many believed that with Ying Yingluo's years of accumulation, she could break through to High God in one go, but her Divine Realm had been opened for too short a time. Believers could be cultivated, resources could be poured into the Divine Kingdom, Divine Authority could be sought, but laws had to be comprehended personally, which wasn't easy.

If it were easy, with so many humans over hundreds of years, there wouldn't be so few who reached the True God level.

So Ying Man didn't take his old friend's compliments too seriously.

"The future is unpredictable," the God King smiled.

As one of the few God Kings, he was happy to see a genius emerge from their side.

Especially now in the God Fighter market, where humans were being severely suppressed by alien races. Previously, some higher-ups had hoped Ying Yingluo would ascend earlier to help withstand the pressure.

But Ying Yingluo was unwilling.

Now that she was finally ascending, humans finally had a capable God Fighter to confront alien races.

Sometimes, people would sigh that in Ying Yingluo's generation, she alone possessed eight-tenths of all talent, with others sharing the remaining two-tenths, resulting in no other standouts from that batch.

"This time, because of that girl's actions, so many people on the Ancestral Star have been affected. We will provide compensation," Ying Man said solemnly.

Although one of the aristocratic families, the Ying family had strict family traditions and wouldn't think their contributions to humanity entitled them to such actions.

"Brother Ying..." The other God Kings opened their mouths but ultimately said nothing.

The impact of this incident was too great; someone had to step forward to attract fire. They had only thought of pushing someone out, not expecting the Ying family to volunteer.

But for them, this was certainly good news, at least they didn't have to worry about it anymore.

Moreover, with the Ying family having two God Kings, it honestly put a lot of pressure on other factions.

Away from the higher levels, in Ying Yingluo's Divine Realm, the formation had long been set up through the efforts of numerous soldiers.

The Divine Realm's ascension had already begun, but all fluctuations were hidden by the formation.

Silently and imperceptibly, the Divine Realm was quietly transforming into a Divine Kingdom.

At this time, Ying Yingluo herself was also slowly undergoing transformation.

Throughout the entire Divine Realm, all believers were devoutly praying, contributing their strength to their deity.

This was one of the rituals of becoming a God, and also established the bond between the deity and their believers.

After becoming a God, they would be constantly drawn towards the Star Realm. To remain in the material world, they needed anchor points, and their believers were these anchor points, with faith being the connection between them.

If a God no longer had any believers, they wouldn't die, but would become lost in the Star Realm. Without the replenishment of faith power, they would lack divine power protection and be subject to various influences, possibly leading to their fall into Abyssal Demon Gods or even Divine Abominations.

Therefore, believers were extremely important to Gods.

They were the foundation of their existence.

From the novice Divine Realm to entering the Continent of the Gods, it typically took Gods about a hundred years (in reality) for their Divine Kingdom to be slowly drawn from the Continent of the Gods to the Star Realm, unless they became True Gods, which would accelerate this process.

Some Gods tried every means to stay on the Continent of the Gods, or sent their believers out to establish forces or kingdoms, so that when their Divine Kingdom moved to the Star Realm, they would still have forces on the Continent of the Gods, allowing them additional development.

Ying Yingluo was different from other Gods; she wanted more, and gradual development was never her style.

To reach her current level, she relied on repeated plundering, so she either didn't act at all or aimed to be the strongest when she did.

Progressing step by step from God to True God was not what she wanted.
