Shuttling Between the Two Worlds

Chapter 77: Allocated Missions [1]

When Lugh was first assigned of this mission, he already has the info about the information that he has to know after joining this team. He finished reading that back when he's checking out his Master's gift.

After an hour, they're finally finished. To be honest, they could've gone out and have their free time if not for Irna; she's just the serious type who would go through the procedures instead of being flexible.

With that said, Lugh went back to his room. It has the same energy density as his previous room, with all that runic arrays concentrating them here. After analyzing it, Lugh felt a 1.10x increase of the energy density.

It seems that every single room in this base is designed to be this way.

"The efficiency and extravagance of the Alliance. They're selfless.."

Lugh then began recovering his lost energy with [Military Fundamentals-Cultivation (Law)]. That's right, he had upgraded this technique to Law Rank with them help of the EXP that he earned before.

Of course, it retained the ability to recover energy stably. Not only that, the speed and the amount that he could recover is huge to the point that he can fully recover in an hour. As for the [Celestial Swordsmanship], he couldn't use it when he's stationary plus the fact that it expends Mental Power, so he opted for this.

An hour later, he fully recovered. Lugh stood up and headed to the training area. He saw some of them before, but he was surprised after he saw it.

The most eye catching area is naturally the sparring room. It is the biggest area after all. Beside it, there's the medical room, gravity room, Law Slate room, and so on. The room that he entered is of course, the cultivation room.

After heading inside, what he saw are more small-sized rooms. With the corridor in the center, the small-sized rooms filled this cultivation room.

"Credits.."

To open that room, the holographic display indicated that it would cost him credits/hour during the usage of the room. One would need to indicate the level of the cultivation room that they want. They'll have to choose between Mortal, Law, or Demigod Realm. The higher the realm, the more they cost credits.

After that, one would choose the specific multiplier that they wanted to. It could go as high as 10x!

<Choosing Law Realm, continue?>

<Select the multiplier. Select 2x ?>

<Selection Complete.>

<The costs are as follows: 10 credits/hour>

<Please connect your terminal.>

<Terminal detected. Scanning..>

<Credit deduction complete.>

After all of the process are finished, the door opened. Inside, it looks like the vast space; stars are shining everywhere.

<Time remaining: 59 minutes, 55 seconds.>

The remaining time is displayed in the center of it. As usual, a hologram floated in the air. Not wanting to waste time, Lugh began practicing with the [Celestial Swordsmanship].

"2x increase.. It's worse than Master's, but I couldn't rely on Master every time."

After absorbing many knowledge through the panel, Lugh knew just how amazing this is. Even if you give his world thousands of years, they wouldn't be able to catch up. Just his Master's alone is at 6x. Without the jellies, it could still reach an astonishing rate of 4x!

Though, he mostly used it for his recovery.

'Sword. Slash. Stab. Parry. Redirection. Ordinary.'

In each swing, Lugh expended some of his Mental Power to let his Mental Realm grow. As for his Rank, it wouldn't increase no matter what he does, thus he didn't mind it.

'Ordinary. Controlling. Shedding?'

Suddenly, a question popped up in his mind. he knew what and how to reach the Shedding Stage, but he still couldn't reach that realm. Back then, he knew that he would only know himself how he will reach that realm. It is evident when the records indicated many different ways of reaching the Shedding Stage.

Only, there are some parts, in which the person in question couldn't really explain the reason for their breakthrough.

The spear strikes of Light flashed in his mind. It contained great power, but that's not important for now. It felt like.. each strike has a trace of himself?

Recalling the other Controlling Stage Combatants that he saw, there's no such thing present. They all felt the same, even Lugh. then..

'Shedding is the process of putting one's own traces into their Mental Realm! One would shed the former Mental Realm that they had!'

In an instant, Lugh felt more liberated. Countless ideas poured in his mind, allowing his [Sword Mastery] to level up in an breakneck pace.

At the same time, his Mental Realm started growing yet again! Lugh put his own traces into his sword movement, affecting his Mental Realm too.

He continued this process until..

[Sword Mastery(LV9)]

"Breakthrough.."

He broke through his limits yet again. This time, he is lucky to fight against a bona fide Demigod Combatant.

Why say "Bona fide"?

When he fought his Master's projection, its [Sword Mastery] isn't on the Demigod Realm at all. Most likely, it far surpassed LVMAX. Even if his clone only had the power of EX+ Rank, its attainment of the sword is comparable to a high-rank Deity-Realm Combatant.

With that reason, he didn't have the chance to spar with a Demigod up until now.

"The level up requirement is actually that. Right, this is my blind spot."

Lugh consolidated his newly ascended mental Realm before recovering. After all, the increase here is at 2x, unlike his room which is 1.10x the normal environment.

He then finished recovering just as the time ran out. The starry space dimmed down until only darkness remained.

Leaving the room, he went to the lobby. Comfortable seats, vending machines, and some potted plants can be seen here. Since Lugh has some excess time, he decided to visit this place.

He sat down, fiddling with the missions that can be seen in his vision thanks to Xiao Song.

In the Military, there's 2 types of missions; Allocated Missions that one could get from the Mission Board and the Assigned Missions which is assigned by the higher-ups. Only the 'numbered' teams are eligible for this.

"Hm.. A good one that can be finished in a few days.."

"It's you!"

The person walking towards him suddenly shouted at him.

"You are.. that beast race from the sparring room."

"That's right!"

It's Kahn, the enemy of Light in terms of a battle maniac's belief.
