The Journey To Find The New Golden Emperor

CHAPTER 83 **Calm before the Storm…**

“Princess?” Band Two was stunned to see the woman he’d seen with his Master, suddenly appear.

Sahara turned to see someone who was strapped up in a few bandages, doing some Martial Arts, not too far away from where she teleported to. “Oh, hi.” she waved.

Band Two didn’t know how to respond to the Princess’s ‘wave’ and continued to stand there…

He had, for the first time, come out from laying down to do some training. He had heard that the Princess had been here today and also about Band One, making him want to train and get better faster.

“You’re hurt?” Sahara asked. She took a few steps towards him, and he took a step back in worry.

She stopped and looked at him, then pointed to his stab wound, which seemed to be bleeding again. “Why are you hurt?”

Band Two stuttered for a moment, then went quiet, he did not want her to get upset that he was hurt in trying to save her from the Crowned Prince a few days ago.

It had been nearly a week, but his wound was not in a good spot, having stabbed a blood vessel. As it was, he should be still lying in bed, but he didn’t like the idea of his follow friend potentially getting killed and the Princess being here and unable to guard her. Then, of course, his Master as well..

Sahara stepped in closer to him and he took another step back. His pain starting to show, he’d been able to train for about ten minutes and had wanted to push himself longer, when the Princess appeared, “I will take my leave Princess.”

“Steven, make him stop moving.” She stated, very determined to help the silly man!

Steven made Band Two stop moving and Sahara touched him.

While she got busy fixing his injury, Steven watched as a few others come out to watch, they knew of the Princess, but…Who was the golden eyed man?

As time went by, no one seemed to move or talk. Steven kept his guard up, but also made sure that he did what he was told to do, not that it mattered, Band Two seemed to understand after a few minutes and sat their voluntary afterwards. There was always the fear in being touched or touching their master’s woman, if it never happened, then you don't have to worry, but if it did...

Band Two couldn't help but think that it should be ok, since it was just his shoulder, and that she had pretty much ordered for him to sit there...

It had been one thing, to stay in bed and be able to do nothing, but if his injury could be healed…

He had happily become a 'Band' not long after Band One had. He hadn’t known the Second Prince as long as Band One, but he had been close. Just one time of wanting to follow a young person who seemed so great, Band Two had found Band One to be his idol…Having learnt many things from his idol and been able to become a part of his life, was a dream come true…

If his injury is healed, if he is able to support his brother…Why would he make it hard for the Princess, when he was only going to benefit? In fact, having the Princess here, may mean he might be able to spend more time with Band One. They hadn’t sparred in ages, haven’t had a drink together or had the most basic of conversations. Band One had spent a lot of time lately away from him, as he had watched the Princess…And looked for her. But wasn’t it all over? Wasn’t the Princess with their Master now?

Yes, Princess, heal me please!

The night sky twinkled with stars, and Naruto was also still on Sahara’s shoulder. The two other foxes had found themselves on Steven and he kept them close to him in protection. It looked like they didn’t feel welcomed, or they didn’t feel at home yet…

Finally, after an hour, Sahara had finished.

She was sweating and when she opened her eyes, she wiped her forehead. Band Two’s wound was bad, nearly festering. She had to replenish blood and stitch him up, she also cleansed his body as well. It looked like the exercise he tried to do, when they had arrived, had made him a lot worse, and she felt lucky that she was able to help him. No doubt they would most likely still be able to treat him when he had laid down next, she was still glad that she helped get him better faster. But it would have been far more than that if she hadn't had stepped in. Sahara could only see the inside of a body, as she didn’t even know how to take a pulse or make a prescription, but the diagnoses that a normal physician would have come up with for treatments, would have been a minimum of at least two weeks of bed rest…Of course, included in that is the medicine and having to take it at specific times…The amount of time saved and items that won’t need to be used now was almost like a cheat!

She sighed, “You’re good now to train properly…”

Sahara blinked and wondered if he could teach her how to use a whip…But shook her head, thinking that her man was going to teach her…But when?

Thinking that people like him may come into contact with her from now on, Sahara brought out several white, pure pills.

Oh! I just remembered about me! When am I ganna get into dinging up!? I made pills for nearly everyone else but me! What a bloody idiot!

A strange silence overcame the area, while Sahara was upset that she had forgotten all about herself!

Finally, Sahara sighed and then smiled, “Here, ah, just give a few out or whatever, a gift…You know…For letting me stay…Or whatever…”

Honestly, I’m such an idiot! ‘For letting me stay’? Geez! I'm the boss in this house now! If anything...They should be thanking me! That's right!

Taking the pills, in a confused manner, Band Two then looked up at the Princess, “What are they, Princess?”

“Oh, they are magnets, good for din…Ranking…Up…Ranking…Cultivation! Ah, I don’t have enough to give more than one each at the moment…”

Sahara shook her head once again.

Just shut your mouth, Sahara, shut it and move on!

At that moment, she finally found that she was a bit nervous. She wasn’t too bad at being a leader, when it came to the questions and answers…But the people part…It seemed that she still had trouble with socializing, especially with people that she didn't know...

It looks like when someone transmigrates, things like this travel with ya uh..I can’t imagine what it’d be like for someone who actually didn’t like themselves…

Sahara felt shivers go through her when she gave a small thought to that of someone who suicides on Earth to just have to live in another life, to feel everything all over again…She had known of a number of people that had depression and probably wouldn’t be happy too much about having to have to live a life all over again, so, would they have just killed themselves…Again?

The shivers made her make movements that made it obvious to everyone that she was in some other thoughts…

Finally, having waited for the Princess to look back at him, Band Two then nodded, “Much thanks to the Princess. This one…Much thanks!”

“…This is Steven, my brother, he stays with me.” Sahara said, as she had seen a few people looking directly at Steven.

Sahara looked up at Steven, ready to introduce, but not sure how, and saw him looking at her really happily.

Awe! Perhaps I should have told him a lot earlier that he was part of the furniture now…

Deciding to not bother introducing Steven to the people that she didn’t even know, Sahara just said instead, “We could do with a meal and bed. Oh, this is Naruto! The other two won’t be staying, but Naruto is like…My pet.”

No words were heard in response, but people did put the beast with four tails in their eyes.

A maid coming out smiling finally stopped some stares, and they all heard her say, “Princess! Come, come and eat, this one will make you something very delicious!”

Sahara smiled, feeling hungry, “Great! Make sure there’s enough for five!”

“Five? Princess!?” She said, confused.

“Yeah, three foxes, my brother and me!” Sahara said, walking towards her, pointing as she went.

How great would it be to have a cook again! Saves me from stealing! Awesome!

“Very well, Princess, five it is!” The maid said, understanding, yet a little worried on who the estate will belong too…

Will the…Beasts, be eating at the table too?

They followed the maid into an eating area and the foxes got excited, so Sahara had to tell them to calm down…

Just as the meal came to all of them, Sahara realized that another place was set up and she bit her lip in anticipation, “Is Matthew coming?” she asked, excited.

“…His Highness returned minutes ago and is in the study at present, he has said that he will join the Princess for dinner.”

The maid wasn’t too sure who Matthew was, but had said what she was originally going to say…Was it…That His Highness’s name was…Matthew?

“Great!” Sahara said.

Growl!

I tapped Naruto on the nose and said, “You eat your own!”

Naruto put down his head and looked at her…Dammit, why was he so cute! Nonetheless, she knew he wanted to steal the other fox’s food! Bad boy!

“Sahara!”

Sahara looked up to see Matthew smiling at her and she smiled back, “Hey!”

Matthew saw Steven, then looked back at her with questions in his eyes.

“Ah! I’ve introduced Steven as my brother, and that he’ll be staying here.” she said…

Wait! Have I just done something wrong? But seriously, if Steven couldn’t come here…We’ll just have to go back to the stable. I can’t leave him behind! But then…I don’t want to leave here now either…Right, I’ll be stubborn!

“Oh…” Matthew said, sitting down next to her, in the empty space. Actually, Matthew was extra quiet for two reasons. One reason was, he wasn’t sure if he liked how close Steven was with Sahara, but the second reason…Steven…Being the brother…He really wanted to laugh!

Steven would be related to her through marriage soon, so she was right in calling him brother!

“Then, we will make sure that he will have a room!” Matthew stated, after some time of silence.

He wanted to make his woman happy, but this brother won’t be too close to his Sahara…Well, at least he'd be able to handle it if they were both here, so he could watch…Shaking his head to his possessiveness, Matthew took a deep breath in and told himself to calm down!

“Oh…Great!” Sahara didn’t even need to be stubborn…Bargain!

The foxes were hell, they got into too much mischief, so Sahara told Matthew that she will take them away tomorrow…So, the next day she had quickly seen the ‘Song’ kids…Who ended up calling themselves her friends…Bargain…And she gave the foxes to them, but didn’t stay long. Sahara told them to see if they like the foxes first, as they were beasts after all, and that she’d take payment later. Honestly, she wasn’t sure if they would wanna keep the little mutts…

Sahara got another bag of empty pills from the academy, before teleporting back to Matthew’s Estate.

After the first dinner, Steven was taken to a room dedicated to guests, but now it was his. Matthew was happy to even have this attempt at getting to know his half-brother, especially if he was going to be so close to his Princess. But…The so called ‘guest’ room happened to be nearly on the other side of the estate and…It was close by to where the ‘Bands’ would often stay while they had no orders. Matthew might feel like he’s giving his half brother a lot of trust, by letting him stay in the same place as himself and his Princess, but in some regard he wasn’t too…Sahara would have thought it a bit comical but she didn’t think too much of it…If that was where Steven was to stay, then so be it

Afterwards, Matthew, Naruto and Sahara were alone, and he took her to a chamber that was close to his main ‘room’. Sahara said very honestly that they shouldn’t sleep on the same bed, knowing that he was thinking it!

Matthew could only sigh and smile. He would have only been a gentleman and not say anything about it, offering her the other room, yet, he couldn’t deny it, he had thought of using only one bed!

Not wanting to leave his Princess so quickly, and loving her in his estate, their estate, he found himself getting shooed out of the room!

He had wanted to play chess, had wanted to help bathe her and wanted to tuck her in…

Sahara wasn’t annoyed with him, but honestly, she was tired! And it was already getting late! The Golden Heir’s kid can wait for another day!

I hadn’t had servants in ages! Did he want to take this privilege off me!?

The bath, besides the play that they had earlier in the water, was really nice! Sahara hadn’t had a normal bath in…Well, she couldn’t remember! She always cleansed herself now with spiritual essence, in which did a better job...

But now that she was relaxing in a different way, Sahara felt pretty great! There were flower petals in it and the maids happily helped lightly scrub her skin.

Ahh! So good!
