The Prophet Didn’t Mean to Fall in Love! [BL]

Chapter 123: Gods and Fiends[2]

Yue, Huy, and Elena stood atop a mountain in Thailand. They needed to wait for their follower forces to catch up so they had to slow themselves down. The battle had already started with some other forces from the South East. They weren’t outwardly obvious about being associated with Azure Dragon or Vermillion bird but Yue knew who they were.

Elena had told him ahead of time that Fei Xiang and Lian Bai would be there.

“Thanks for letting me know ahead of time…” Yue murmured, “If I found out in a bad state…I might’ve tried to defy fate.”

“Do you really think that your prophecies are flawless? Or that you cannot change future?” Elena asked.

“The future can be changed,” Yue said and sighed, “Fate cannot.”

“What’s the difference?” Elena asked with a raised eyebrow.

“It was fate that I met you. It was meant to happen, no matter what. The way we met would be ‘future’ and the fact that we met would be ‘fate’. The future shows up to me in prophecy as clear images, multiple of them, all at once. Fate shows up to me as words…like a novel. ‘Xia Guiren will die’, ‘Azure Dragon and Fei Xiang would never meet again’…” Yue explained.

“I rarely see fate…but before I left China I saw it. ‘Once Azure Dragon leaves China, he will never see Fei Xiang again, even if he returns to China.’”

“…You cannot see fate on command like the future right?” Elena asked, she seemed like she regretted asking that after she said it though.

“No.” Yue was curious about her question. He rarely felt comfortable seeing the future in general when others asked him too but Elena seemed to be asking out of a morbid sense of curiosity. Like she wanted to know but also didn’t want to know at all.

“Where is Lady Aylin by the way?” Huy asked, suddenly.

“Unlike me, Aylin doesn’t have anyone other than who can protect her temple and territory. So she has to stay in her area.” Elena explained.

Yue and Huy were fighting in their own territory because of their location and Elena had Natasha and the Lords along with her parents to protect the north.

“The rest of the group has caught up.” Viktor said as he, Mai and Andrei got to the top of the hill. They had made it earlier but they decided to check on those who were lagging behind.

“Vitya can lead the eastern forces to help the people already there. I’ll lead my forces with Andrei, Huy and Mai will lead their forces and Yue…Do what you do best.”  Elena said and patted Yue’s shoulder.

“…?” Yue seemed confused on what she meant by that.

“Blitzing through on your own.” Viktor chuckled.

Yue chuckled a little now that he understood.

“Take care of my people.” Yue said and kissed Viktor’s cheek.

Everyone waited a little while longer before Yue started them off.

“…The 4 will soon arrive.” A small boy said to Zhao Quingjue and Zhao Zhihao.

“... I will take on Azure Dragon.” Quingjue insisted.

“No.” Zhao Zhihao immediately shot the idea down.

“You will lose. The one to take him down must be him.” Zhao Zhihao pointed at the smiling little boy. The little boy had been sitting on a rock, drinking tea happily with his eyes closed as he spoke with the two men who were far older than him.

He didn’t falter as Zhao Quingjue glared.

“The rest of the four will be our responsibility.” Zhao Zhihao announced, “But Azure Dragon’s blitz will only be stopped by him.”

A tremble went through the earth.

“Our lord calls for you, father.” The little boy said, opening his eyes to reveal black sclera just like Zhao Quingjue.

“Then I must go to him... Wait patiently for our signal before engaging.” Zhao Zhihao said and turned to the two before leaving, going deep into the ruined lands of Malaysia.

Zhao Quingjue went back to glaring at the boy for a second before disappearing.

Zhao Zhihao stood in front of Hundun.

“I understand what must be done.” He bowed his head toward the mass emptiness before him.

“For our rightful world…Where you are all powerful.”

Lian Bai was unsure of how to react when she faced her newest opponent.

Zhao Quingjue was someone she was very well aware of but she had already learned from Fei Xiang that he was in fact an opponent she could defeat. But as she stood in front of him… she felt unsure.

The creepy aura of Hundun…of chaos and negativity, was not completely unfamiliar to her. She remembered it very well… From the day Xia Guiren died.

“Struggle as much as you want…I’ll end you anyway.” Zhao Quingjue murmured.

Lian Bai didn’t falter after hearing that. She stood strong regardless.

“..My lord?” A follower of the Azure Dragon Temple called out to Viktor as they saw him stop suddenly.

They were confused but when they saw his eyes glowing ominously they could assume what was happening.

“I will go on ahead, just keep heading in this direction and you’ll make it.” Viktor suddenly said, his eyes still glowing and his expression dire.

Fei Xiang looked ahead at the battle that had unfolded before him. He had been tracing the strongest person in Hundun’s forces but he soon turned his gaze to something or rather someone else.

Zhao Zhihao…Was not the strongest person. He was strong but he wasn’t the person he’d been tracing through the battle field this whole time.

He could sense Zhao Zhihao in the distance and the strong person nearby and he decided to completely change his sights onto Zhao Zhihao. After all, he could now sense the four as well. And their power was overwhelming.

“…I’ve been surpassed it seems.” He murmured to himself, looking over at Lian Bai’s fervent battle with Zhao Quingjue and then at the approaching winds caused by Yue.

‘Let disciples fight disciples…I will deal with Zhao Zhihao.’
